Hand Sewing Basics for Mending and Slow Stitching

  • Cove Civic Centre 1 Ragamuffin Drive Hallett Cove, SA, 5158 Australia (map)

Learn to mend and hand sew with confidence in this relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop.

You’ll learn a selection of essential hand stitches—both visible and invisible—perfect for repairing clothing, homewares, or getting started with slow stitching.

This includes stitches like running stitch, whip stitch, ladder stitch, backstitch, blanket stitch, and hem stitch, as well as how to sew on a button securely by hand — practical skills you’ll use again and again.

This workshop is part of a two-part mending series. Attend both to build your skills from hand sewing to darning.
