A Fibre-Filled Day at the Willunga Quarry Market
A Massive Thank You for Coming to See Us at the Willunga Quarry Market!
Huge thanks to everyone who came by the Fibre of My Being stall at the Willunga Quarry Market on Saturday, 12th of April. It was a big day for us, but seeing familiar faces pop by to say hello—and meeting so many new people—made all the prep totally worth it!
I was definitely running on adrenaline, caffeine, and a lot of help from my support crew (plus my toddler sidekick). But once I got chatting about all things fibre craft with so many people, it all got a lot easier.
What really stood out to me is how much fibre crafts are still loved across all ages. Whether it was stitching or knitting by young crafters, or seasoned makers sharing their stories and skills—it was all so good to see! It was also great introducing sashiko to so many people. (Keep an eye on social media this Friday—we’ve got a sashiko giveaway coming!)
I loved seeing what the other stallholders had on offer too, and chatting with them about their own craft and how their day went. I wish I’d had time to chat with more of them. My little one was thrilled with a beautifully handmade doll dress from our neighbour, while gorgeous leatherwork was on the other side. Honestly, the whole market was packed with amazing stalls—from knitted and sewn goods to soaps, candles, doggie treats, and so much more!
