Sew Easy 4in Sashiko Templates

$9.80

The Japanese word sashiko means "little stabs" or running stitch. Humble beginnings led to creating home necessities by devising a simple stitch to quilt several layers of loosely woven fabric for strength and warmth. Modern Sashiko designs have now rejuvenated interest by using traditional Japanese designs worked onto indigo dyed fabric with white contrast running stitch. Adding a luxury finish to quilting, home furnishing and craft projects.

To use, place the template on right side of the fabric. Trace with a washable marking pencil. Prepare a length of sashiko thread and top stitch in the direction of the number sequence.
